The building that houses Roslindale Market Kitchen at 4198 Washington street will undergo a complete rebuild in 2026 to make way for affordable housing and upgraded street level retail space.
We came in with a plan for a short term pop-up bakery and began to make a home for our ideas for food and community. We have learned so much! Thank you for going on this adventure with us.
In anticipation of the impending construction, we want to remind you that we are wrapping up our 5 day a week bakery and sandwich shop this Wednesday, Dec 31st.
After we close this iteration of the shop, we are going to take a short break in early January.
In the interim, you may see us in some shorter pop-ups with limited hours, right up until the wrecking ball. We’re exploring:
cooking classes centered around bread making, cooking from the winter pantry, and family meals
partnered dinners and projects with other Roslindale restaurants,
book club salons
limited pick up hours and/or at the winter market for our more grain croissant, pies, and quart soups
We are a More-Grain Bakery & Sandwich Shop in Roslindale Square.
Find us in the Square at 4198 Washington Street. We especially look forward to serving the businesses and pedestrian and bike traffic around the Square.
Hours: Tuesday Dec 30 and Wed Dec 31 from 8 am – 3:30 pm.

Beard Award winning chef Odessa Piper and friends will offer instruction and hands-on skills to make fantastic home meals inspired by produce at the Roslindale farmers Market. In addition to the topic ingredients, every class will also include knife skills, recipes for the pantry, tips on recycling and composting, and eating for greater happiness and health.
